Chevrolet Hybrids
MEET THE MOUNTAIN-SIZED TAHOE AND MILD MALIBU

Last year the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid (21-22 mpg / $49,590) was the Green Car of the Year. Its a big and versatile, family-friendly SUV that’s built to save fuel while aggressively handling all the needs of today’s active families.

Consider what your needs are. Chevy's Tahoe Hybrid has a V8 engine, and when we say big, we mean BIG! Its twice as expensive as some other smaller hybrids that deliver twice the gas mileage. But if the Tahoe Hybrid meets your requirements, it does deliver twice the mileage of other beefy non-hybrid SUVs.

The Chevrolet Malibu’s (24-32 mpg / $22,140) was redesigned last year when it garnered plenty of attention. But the Malibu's “mild” hybrid version isn't a big fuel-saver. It utilizes reduced idle time and increased engine efficiency to add a couple extra miles per gallon over the non-hybrid version.
